Member Nominated Director (MND)
Feel ready to hit the ground running? Join us as an MND
As an MND you’re a fully-fledged Trustee Director – one of three MNDs selected from the membership who make up our Trustee Board of nine Trustee Directors in total. MNDs are appointed for a fixed term of two years, although in exceptional circumstances the term can be extended.
The Trustee Board
The Trustee Board holds at least four full Board meetings a year, with additional meetings arranged for training days and setting out the scheme’s strategy.
All our meetings have generally taken place in London, however due to the pandemic we have been making use of technology and holding these meetings virtually. The success of these virtual meetings means that we have decided to have a mixture of virtual meetings as well as some meetings in person, giving us greater flexibility for the future.
Committees
The three Committees each meet at least four times a year and every Trustee Director is a member of at least one of these Committees.
For more information on the various Committees, please see the ‘How we work’ section of this website.
Time commitment
Typically, as an MND you should expect to dedicate around 25 days a year to the role, covering all the Board and Committee work between meetings as well as preparing for and attending meetings and training days.
You’ll also receive a recognition payment to reflect the value you’ll bring to the Board and your expenses and travel costs will be reimbursed.
