Meetings
The Trustee Board
The Trustee Board holds at least four full Board meetings a year with additional meetings arranged for training days and setting out the scheme’s strategy.
All our meetings have generally taken place in London, however due to the pandemic we have been making use of technology and holding these meetings virtually. The success of these virtual meetings means that we have decided to have a mixture of virtual meetings as well as some meetings in person, giving us greater flexibility for the future.
How Trustee Talent Pool (TTP) members get involved in the Committees
The three Committees each meet at least four times a year and every Trustee Director is a member of at least one of these Committees. Each TTP member will also join a Committee, which allows them to get real-life experience of working with the advisers and the decisions the Committees make. This provides a real understanding of how the Trustee Board works.
As a TTP member it’s not just about gaining insight and experience; it’s your chance to share your views and thoughts and make a difference to how the schemes are run. You have no formal vote as a TTP member, but each of the Committees work collaboratively and welcome the diversity of views and opinions to support better decision making.
For more information on the various Committees, please see the ‘How we work’ section of this website.
Training days
All Trustee Directors and TTP members are invited to all training days, virtually or face to face.
The days are a combination of targeted training for the Trustee team, refreshers and providing a chance to learn about any changes to legislation and how these may impact how we operate as a team.
Other regular training is also available from sessions run by our advisers for all their clients, so this is a great way to see what is going on in the pensions industry generally and not just specific to our pension schemes.
